English Club TV is a TV channel for those who study English. The channel’s content consists of documentaries, feature films, cartoons and music videos, which are adapted for learning English. The program schedule is divided into several blocks that correspond to different levels and age groups. The hosts of all programs are native speakers. The basis of the channel’s program policy is the communicative method of learning a foreign language. It is a method which allows learners to easily and effectively master pronunciation and grammar and helps viewers immerse themselves into the language environment and overcome the language barrier.The communicative method of learning a foreign language appeared in the 1960s. Teachers using this method teach without the students’ native language. Classes where the communicative method is used are conducted with a native-speaking teacher. This balances all aspects of the language. A teacher can easily explain how to use certain words and expressions correctly. Language instruction uses both verbal and nonverbal means of communication (facial expressions, gestures, movements etc.)
